As part of my planning, I set my alarm so I could get up early and go to Mass. Somehow, I awoke 10 minutes after Mass started. Quickly, I raced through the Lake Charles Diocese website to find that if we hurried, Lynnettee and I could just make the only other early morning service. After grabbing the GPS and running out the door, we slid into the back pews just moments after Mass started. But, it was the right church, the right service and the right place to be. Rev. Goodly and the Immaculate Heart of Mary congregation touched my heart. The homily seemed to be directed just to me. And when Father handed me communion, I felt the peace of our Lord touch my soul. What a fantastic way to start the day!
We picked up the flowers and headed back to Mom and Dad's. We grabbed Grace, my niece and headed out to get our nails done. After picking up the cake, it was time for a little lunch before heading to the Jubilee Center to decorate. Mom, Della, Alana, Lynnettee and I unloaded the car and got to work transforming a cute hall into a Fairy Tale Wedding Chapel!
