Princess Birthday

Several weeks ago, we were grocery shopping at Winco (great store!) and they had a bunch of miniature roses for sale. I made a comment in passing how much I loved them and my Prince Charming listened and tucked that piece of information away. My birthday extravaganza started on Thursday, June 18th when the most beautiful miniature rose bush arrived at my office accompanying a text that said "You are my beautiful ROSE. I love you." Can you say awwhhhhh?!

Thursday evening after work, Ben gave me another present. I opened a wonderfully sweet card along with the brand new Pink Martini DVD. We watched it right then and it was fantastic as expected. Remember Pink Martini from earlier posts? Check out their music. It's the best!
On Friday, my alarm went off and a specially prepared play list began with Louie Armstrong singing Happy Birthday. It continued with several other versions of Happy Birthday. I opened another sweet and romantic card along with a beautiful Disney statue. It is Aurora and Prince Phillip kissing her with her True Love's Kiss.
Then, another beautiful card and gift- a new DVD of Somewhere in Time- my all time favorite movie. (I guess it really bothered him that I still had it on VHS!) Of course the DVD was started as Ben brought me breakfast and I watched and watched the beautiful love story until right before the part where he ...I'm not going to say anymore. If you haven't seen the movie, rent it now. It's the best movie ever!
Oh, BTW, we have to pack an overnight bag and I have 1/4 of a suitcase and Ben used the rest of it as well as a second bag and a garment bag. I love that he enjoys getting dressed up too! But time to go to work now.
My wonderful friends at work created a princess party for me. And they know me so well- fresh fruit and blueberry banana bread- yum, yum!
