Ben's Birthday Weekend '09, MAX

We talk about MAX all the time so we thought we would show you about it. Ben uses it to commute to work. His work provides him with a yearly pass. I usually ride on the weekends when we are going downtown. It is much cheaper than gas and paying to park! And it's always an adventure to us. We love people watching and I'm always hoping the fare inspectors will ride with us. Ben gets checked all the time but I never have been. Maybe they only work bankers' hours??
The last picture is on one of the new trains. You can sit in the back and see all the way through.

The Robertson Tunnel was created through the West Hills and has a station at the Oregon Zoo. It is very chilly down there so have a sweater if you are going to have to wait long for the train. There are interesting facts on the walls including core samples taken when the tunnel was built.

I have uploaded a video Ben took of the train coming into the tunnel. It is about 25 seconds into the video before you can see the train but you can hear it coming much sooner. It's cool!
