One day, we went out to lunch at Raising Cane's because I had never eaten there. I first learned of Raising Cane's when Ben and I watched a show called Secret Millionaire. On this episode, Todd Graves and his wife, Gwen went into an area that was trying to rebuild after Katrina. They work incognito for a week and at the end of their time, they are required to donate at least $100,000 to the people/organizations they feel will make the best use of the money. When they made their donations, they gave away over $300,000; more than I have seen anyone else give away. So I was fascinated with their story and read about their background. Todd wrote the business plan for Cane's while he was in college. The plan earned him the worst grade in the class and his professor told him it would never work.
Good thing he didn't listen because they now have over 50 locations in 13 states! Cool, huh? I thought so too so I was looking forward to finding out what the fuss was all about! WOW- it was so good! We got there about 2 pm, after the lunch rush. Everyone was so nice. We were greeted at the door. There was someone wiping off the tables. It was quite the different fast food experience, that's for sure!
