It all started when I chose style over practicality and I put these shoes on this morning. Aren't the pink ones so much cuter than boots?
Ok, the frogs were a close second, but really!
So we get to the dock and begin to haul everything out of the car. It's a little breezy but we're looking forward to a big crab dinner later this evening. The traps are set and we are pulling in tons of crabs when the sky turned black and disaster struck.
Sixty mile per hour winds blew huge waves of ocean over the pier. They knocked Noelle over and I tripped over her. As I was sliding across the pier, Steve realized that I was headed straight to the tub of freshly caught crabs. He lunged for the tub barely saving the crabs as I was knocked into the railing when another huge wave hit the pier. Ben reached out and grabbed my wrist, squeezing tight as I headed into the ocean. He and Steve jerked me back to safety slamming my wrist on the railing on the way back onto the pier. Immediately, my wrist began to swell and I burst into tears as I realized my beloved pink pumps had been lost in the sea. Tragically, they began to sink and I'm sure some octopus is very happily wearing my shoes right now.

The doctor says she doesn't think it's broken. We'll know better in about a week.
Now isn't that story much more entertaining than I tripped and fell, slamming my hand into a glass door?!
