On Thursday, August 26th, we went to see Pink Martini at the Zoo. It was Ben's first Zoo concert and the weather was perfect. Not too hot and it was actually sunny! They were wonderful as always. China was pretty in pink...
Thomas and China had an announcement to make...PM has just finished recording their first Christmas album. They debuted one of the songs "Congratulations" and it was wonderful! I can't wait till November!
The sun was starting to set and it was beginning to get cool. Good thing I brought an extra blanket!
Little did we know that this was the last outing we would have for a while. Ben went to Urgent Care on Saturday the 28th with what was later diagnosed as kidney stones in both kidneys. After 11 days of pain, we went back, this time to ER when the pain became unbearable. On Wednesday, September 8th, the second day of school, after being in Emergency all morning, Ben had bilateral stents put in and spent all afternoon on IV drugs before he was finally released. Thursday and Friday were spent in a drug induced haze (him, not me) as I used a spreadsheet to keep track of all his medications. Saturday, we can finally see some improvement thanks to all of your prayers. In a few weeks, he will have to have lithotripsy to blast the stones. Fortunately, I have an amazing urologist who will take over Ben's care (he was in surgery Wednesday and not available). We will keep you posted. We have lots on our September calendar so stay tuned!
