Kyle was excited when Ben asked if he wanted to go feed the ducks. So we gathered all the bread and leftover bagels we had and drove to Dawson Creek. It was such a pretty night, I knew we were going to get some good pictures. I like taking pictures from behind my subjects. I feel it leaves so much to the imagination while speaking volumes at the same time. This is one of my favorites!
At first, Kyle was a little shy about the ducks getting too close but then these adorable ducklings hopped over their embankment and waddled right up to them. As long as Della and I didn't move too quickly, Mama Duck seemed fine with the babies so close to Kyle and Ben.
Then we moved to another location and these geese were very bold! They had no problem taking bagels right out of Ben's hand.
Ben finally got Kyle to try it but Kyle told him he (Ben) had to hold his hand too! Kyle was so excited when the goose took the bread from him.
There is a beautiful stream that runs throughout the park. The water was warm so Della decided she and Kyle would wade into it.
Kyle wasn't so sure but he was a good sport.
I love, love, love this shot...
What do you imagine was happening at this time? See, there are so many options to choose from and so many could be right.
Happy family!
My Benjamin- He tried to get Kyle to climb the branch to sit next to him. He knew I couldn't do it so he went with a sure thing. Kyle moved too fast to get a good picture. Needless to say, after all the running around and the fresh air, we all slept well that night.
The next morning, Mom, Della and I took Kyle to see all the construction equipment going on at my school. We also had to surprise "Aunt Lynnettee." She didn't know Kyle was coming either. Boy was she happy to see how big he had grown.
