Beach Time!

It wouldn't be a trip to the Pacific NW if we didn't take the children to the beach.  I love this first picture of Marin.  The sunset was so beautiful the first evening we arrived.
Ben and Marshall went exploring the tide pools.  Marshall ran from pool to pool looking for "sea churchins".
Marin was a little nervous about walking out to the rocks.  After asking her to join them several times, she finally agreed.  When she got there, she asked Ben "why didn't you tell me it was so shallow?"  She was very  excited when she discovered a starfish!
We picked up lots of shells and "treasures" on the beach.
Marshall loved trying to run up the sand dunes.  He was so proud to be able to make it to the top!
Marin didn't like the sand but she was more than happy to pose for a picture!
I couldn't resist putting this picture in the post.  Marin wouldn't let me see what she was writing until she was finished.  I was so touched when I read "I love you Mitsie".  So sweet that I had to take a picture to treasure later.
We went to several different areas to explore.  This was a cool tidal pool area.  There was lots to look at and lots of opportunities for pictures.
 Strike a pose!
Looking at more starfish.  I added this picture because they were steadying each other on the rock.  It was so cute to see.
 Another Marin picture!
The weather was actually really nice.  The sun shined and the wind stopped blowing one day so that we actually played on the beach (in swimsuits) for a few hours.  We went in not because it was cold but because it was lunch time!
