We were so excited to explore the Zoo! It was a beautiful day, just a little chilly first thing. We brought our picnic lunch and couldn't wait for the adventure to start.
Marin took this picture of the three of us. She did a great job!

Then we got someone to take our picture. As in most places that we took the children, someone commented on our lovely family. We learned that it was easier to say thanks and not correct them. Once or twice, Marshall would say, "he's not my Dad, he's my Grandfather!" It was funny to watch the reactions when he said that.
Whew...it sure is hot! We lost the jackets very quickly and enjoyed some ice cream. We spent almost 6 hours at the Zoo. So much to see and do!
While waiting for the Birds of Prey show, we played quite a few games of Rock, Paper, Scissors. We also played "I Spy." We got great seats and were very close to the eagles, hawks and even vultures that went flying overhead.
In the Predators of the Serengeti, there were several interactive exhibits and the children loved playing the musical instruments. It was so fun to watch them play the drums!
This is a Marin shot. I never had to remember which child took which picture. Marshall always took serious shots that were perfectly centered. Marin always required that we kiss in her shots. Thus the picture below... I really like it!
